The Mount Holyoke College Professional and Graduate Education division welcomes visiting and non-degree students.
Non-credit courses, and courses taken for-credit as non-degree classes, both allow participants to register in a course to build their skills without seeking formal admission to one of our programs. Applications submitted after the priority deadline will be processed as quickly as possible with no guarantee for enrollment.
Non-credit courses are not graded. While we can provide a certificate of completion, the courses are not credit-bearing, so there is no formal transcript. For-credit courses are graded, and students will be able to access a transcript as a record of their enrollment and grade. For more information about the difference between taking a course for credit versus not for credit, please visit:
https://www.mtholyoke.edu/professional-graduate/credit-vs-noncredit-options
.
Please note that after the class begins it is not possible to switch between the noncredit and credit options. We are happy to discuss which option might be right for you, just contact us to set up an appointment: 413-538-3478 or email us at
graduateadmissions@mtholyoke.edu
While our tuition is among the lowest in the region, it is important to note that non-credit courses and for-credit courses that are not taken as part of a degree program do not qualify participants for federal financial aid.
Prior to the start of class, all participants will receive an email with more detailed course information and next steps.
