The Mount Holyoke College ID / OneCard is a multi-purpose photo ID card issued to all incoming degree students, faculty, staff, and eligible community members. Your MHC ID / OneCard provides access to a variety of campus services, including:
Disability Services
Disability Services is the designated office at Mount Holyoke College that provides accommodations and support services to students with documented disabilities. It is recommended to begin the process several weeks before the start of the semester to ensure your accommodations are in place before you begin classes.
Applying You will need to use your official Mount Holyoke email address to access the my.mtholyoke portal. The Disability Services Application is under the Self-Service Menu. Go to “Students”, then “Requests & Applications”.
Documentation In order to provide you with accommodations, we need appropriate documentation of your disability from a licensed provider/clinician. For more information about our documentation requirements, please visit the Documentation Standards Section of our website. Documentation may be faxed, emailed, or mailed. We will verify documentation not given directly by a provider to Disability Services by contacting the associated office and/or provider.
Intake Appointment After we have received your application and documentation, we will email you at your official Mount Holyoke email address to schedule an intake appointment. Appointments are available in person, by phone, or by video conference.
Tuition & Billing
No paper bills will be sent. An email will be sent to your Mount Holyoke email account when a bill has been posted and is ready to be viewed online. Payment for all charges is typically due within 30 days. Information on eBills and setting up authorized users can be found at https://www.mtholyoke.edu/directory/departments-offices-centers/student-financial-services/billing-and-payments
The tuition billing schedule can be found at: https://www.mtholyoke.edu/admission/graduate/tuition-fees-aid
If you have questions regarding billing or financial assistance, please contact Student Financial Services at 413-538-2291. Students are charged per credit based on the number of credits they are registered for during the term. If you add/drop a course, your bill will be changed accordingly; the final amounts of the bill will be reconciled at the end of the drop/add period. Please note that your financial aid and scholarship(s) may also be adjusted as a result of a change in the number of credits for which you are registered.
If you plan to seek financial assistance, please be sure to complete a FAFSA form (Free Application for Federal Student Aid, https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa) prior to contacting Student Financial Services.
More detailed information regarding financial policies can be found on the Professional and Graduate Education website or the Student Financial Services website.TEACH Grant
Technology Requirements
You will need a computer with a camera (or a webcam), microphone, and built-in or exterior speakers. Some students prefer a headset with both microphone and earbuds included, or some use the microphone and speakers built into their computers. You can also attend class from most phones and other mobile devices, such as iPads, but strong WiFi connections are essential. You can read more on Zoom at https://www.zoom.us. If you are using a wireless signal, be sure to try out a free speed test at a site such as http://www.speedtest.net/. You will want a download speed of at least 4 Mbps (megabits per second) for an optimal video-conferencing learning experience.
Help Desk
Call (413-538-2600), email (helpdesk@mtholyoke.edu), or drop in at the Technology Help Desk (in the 4th floor Info Commons of the Library) with any technology problem you can imagine, and we will help if we can. We also offer appointments upon request. Open a ticket by emailing helpdesk@mtholyoke.edu to get started.
Professional staff and OneCard Services are available weekdays 8:30am-5pm unless LITS is closed. Evening (5-10pm) and weekend (9am - 10pm) hours are staffed by our expertly trained student team during the fall and spring semesters.
Dropping or Withdrawing from a Course
If you need to withdraw from a course, take a leave of absence, or withdraw from the College, let your academic advisor and Carolyn Rogers-Harris (crogersharris@mtholyoke.edu) know ASAP and we will help you with next steps.
Course Evaluations
We encourage you to give us feedback on how your course went. You should get an email to your Mount Holyoke email account with an invitation to fill out course evaluations near the end of each term. Feedback is anonymous. Faculty will only have access to feedback after they have submitted grades.
